Madonna makes nice with Deadmau5
Another potential celebrity Twitter war has been diverted.
Madonna and Deadmau5 are playing nice again after some tense, curse-filled moments on Monday.
MTV reports that the divine Ms. M dusted off her Twitter account yesterday to respond to the Canadian house producer after he shouted her out online.
The source of his accusations?
A perceived drug reference Madonna made during a surprise appearance at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival on Saturday night.
When the pop icon hit the stage to introduce Swedish DJ Avicii she yelled to the audience, “How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?”
“Molly” is a slang word for MDNA — otherwise known as “ecstasy” — though it just as easily could have been seen as a nod to her new album, “MDNA.”
Still, Deadmau5 unleashed on the superstar singer in an 800-word post on Tumblr, calling her a “f*****g IDIOT” and asking, “That’s your big message to ultra attendies? hipsterspeak for looking for drugs? F–k off.”
