“Sucker Punch” posters latest from Alamo’s Mondo
By Sean O’Connell Mondo, the art boutique arm of the Alamo Drafthouse, has been busy catering to geek cinema fanatics who like to bring a piece of the movie-going experience home with them.
Recently, Mondo collaborated with Duncan Jones to commemorate his debut film, “Moon,” and his anticipated follow-up, “Source Code.”
Today, the boutique revealed two posters tied to Zack Snyder’s “Sucker Punch,” which opens in theaters Friday, March 25.
Artist Ken Taylor designed the new posters (below, courtesy of EW.com), and they have a retro feel that calls to mind the period setting of Snyder’s film as well as the art-deco design of the wildly popular “Bioshock” video games. The “Sucker Punch” posters are part of the Alamo’s “Director’s Series” line. EW.com reports that will go on sale tomorrow, Friday, when the movie opens.
In addition to “Sucker Punch,” Mondo says it will sell specially commissioned posters for Snyder’s previous films: “Dawn of the Dead,” “300,” “Watchmen,” and “Legend of the Guardians.”
